This forward-looking but, unfortunately, short-lived experiment into 3D modeling in a web browser was intended to make it easier for ordinary users to leverage Google's considerable trove of accurate geo-imagery to make realistic but simple textured 3D building models for Google Earth. While it never really got much traction in the market, it did teach me a lot about what would eventually be possible to do in future projects.
